UU Congregation bylaws describe the democratic governance structure of a Unitarian Universalist Congregation such as ours. Under our bylaws, the congregation elects a Board of Directors, Officers, a nominating committee convener, and an endowment committee chairman. Officers serve for one-year terms.

CVUU has the following standing committees mandated by our bylaws.

Our governing documents are our ByLaws and our Policies and Procedures.

The Bylaws identify the committee positions elected by the congregation and those committees whose members must be CVUU members. The Policy and Procedures Manual defines the standing committees responsible for day to day and yearly tasks. The Volunteer page lists the volunteer staffed committees.
