Trunk or Treat!

Trunk or Treat is a trend that has been growing across the country over the past few years.  It provides a safe place where children can trick or treat.  Trunk-or-Treating started when a group of parents got together (in a school, empty store, or church parking lot), and decorated their trunks with Halloween decorations, Pirate ships, big spiders, graveyards, and other themed displays and let their children go from car to car, collecting candy or prizes/trinkets.

Trunk or Treat has become so popular now that many stores and online sites (like Oriental Trading Company) are selling complete Trunk or Treat kits like the pictures below.

October 30, 2021, will be CVUU’s first annual Trunk-or-Treat event in the CVUU parking lot from 10 AM to 12 PM.  We will hold our annual costume parade and the children can trick or treat safely at CVUU.  This is for CVUU family and friends and not open to the public this year due to Covid-19 precautions.  So we will not be advertising this event in the community.   Everyone will have to follow CVUU Covid-19 rules.  Hopefully, this can be a community event in the future and will grow into something bigger.

We need volunteers to decorate their cars and be in costume.  To register your automobile, CLICK HERE

This event is for everyone of all ages.  Come have fun, show off your costume, decorate your car, and Trick or Treat.
